Alabama, Mississippi to be only states with full grocery tax

After the reduction of our sales tax on groceries goes into effect on July 1 (Act 110), Alabama and Mississippi will be the only states that apply their full state sales tax to groceries. Prior to 2007, we were the only other state in this category.
