Rep. Bond on the Pulaski County Special School District

Rep. Will Bond (D-Jacksonville) has long supported the phasing out the current desegregation agreement (and the money that is supporting it) that is still pending in the Eastern District of Arkansas. In the process, he'd like to see Jacksonville have its own district apart from the Pulaski County Special School District. Bond reminded the Jacksonville Rotarians Monday that the cost of the current desegregation agreement is $68 million this year and nearly $70 million next year, all to be paid by Arkansas taxpayers.
