I'm on my way to the Capitol for the Administrative Rules and Regs Committee of Legislative Council. Of some interest will be a discussion of regulations promulgated by ADEQ's Water Division and the Health Department's plumbing code.
The governor will be making a presentation in Dumas at 10:00 a.m. to the Delta Memorial Hospital and will then tour homes and businesses that are rebuilding after February’s tornadoes there.
In state news, Beebe says he'd back a higher severance tax but won't be the driving force behind it [ADG].
The state Supreme Court has scheduled oral arguments for Sept. 13 in an anti-gambling organization’s suit seeking to overturn a 2005 state law that allows electronic gambling at two Arkansas racetracks. [ADG]
