TASD receives federal magnet grant

The Texarkana Arkansas School District has received word from the U.S. Department of Education that it has been approved for a prestigious magnet grant. The district will received more than $3.1 million in the first year and stands to gain over $9.3 million dollars over a three year period. This news comes on the heels of a $479,589 physical education grant it received earlier this summer. A reception to celebrate will be held next at the TASD Administration Bldg. next Friday, October 5th, at 10:30. Here's the district's press release.
