Twice as nice Christmas tree

The town Christmas tree was put in place at the post office down here this afternoon. The cedar had been growing for 20 years on Walnut Street at the home of John Harrison, who died in September. His son asked to have the tree displayed this year in his father's honor. The annual Christmas parade will be held next Monday, December 3rd and will be followed by the Twice as Bright Festival of Lights, which includes Santa Claus, a community tree lighting ceremony and carriage rides.
