Preschool for all children still the goal

Governor Beebe said yesterday that his campaign promise to make preschool in Arkansas available to all children is still a goal of his administration. We increased funding for the Arkansas Better Chance program by $40M in the 2007 legislative session, which provides preschool education to Arkansas children whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level.
