Senate to amend stimulus package

At 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance will take up and alter the "Economic Stimulus Act of 2008," the Senate version of the economic stimulus package. West Virginia Senator Jay Rockefeller will offer an amendment that would provide $15 billion for state fiscal assistance, split evenly between Medicaid and discretionary grants.
