Black history month

The Twin City Black History Association is kicking off black history month today down here with a series of events beginning with the 17th annual parade, where I am currently. I'll post pictures as I take them. The grand marshal is Dr. Wynona Bryant Williams, a former resident of Texarkana, who is the executive director of the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. She's being driven by Ermer Pondexter.

The annual banquet will take place tonight at Arkansas High. We actually kicked off the month on Thursday with a city-wide event at Miles Chapel CME (Pastor Anthony Ware). Here's a picture:
