U.S. House deadlocks on rare tie vote on immigration
In a 210-210 vote, the House failed to approve a motion that sought to punish "sanctuary cities" that do not report illegal immigrants to the federal government. Had the motion passed, these cities would not have been allowed to issue tax-exempt bonds. Additionally, the measure would ramp up IRS efforts to stop illegal immigrants from seeking the earned income tax credit. Boozman voted for it. Berry, Ross and Snyder voted against it.
