Yesterday at the Clinton School: God's politics

This was a great program with a different look yesterday hosted by the Clinton School, in partnership with my former church, First United Methodist-Little Rock. We even had a contingent from FUMC Texarkana drive up to attend. The speaker, Jim Wallis, is a best-selling author, public theologian, speaker, preacher and international commentator on religion and public life, faith and politics. One of his books, “God’s Politics: Why the Right Gets it Wrong and the Left Doesn’t Get it,” spent four months on The New York Times bestseller list. Wallis is president and CEO of Sojourners and editor-in-chief of Sojourners magazine, a progressive Christian commentary on faith, politics and culture.
