May Day/Law Day

Local runners have shamed me to the point where I've resumed my morning running, which cuts in to important stuff like blogging. I'm sure it'll be short-lived.

In addition to being May Day, today is Law Day, which is highly celebrated in the courtroom of the Honorable Harry F. Barnes here in the Western District of Arkansas. Barnes, a Marine, has an annual naturalization ceremony on today's date, which normally draws out the local bar. Our local Law Day event will take place at 6:00 p.m. tonight at Zapata's Grill here in downtown Texarkana, and the Texarkana Young Lawyers Association will present mock trials to fourth graders at many area schools today.
