Flextime schedules in Arkansas state agencies
We took up Sen. Tracy Steele's interim study proposal yesterday in the Joint Interim Committee on State Agencies and Governmental Affairs at the Capitol. The proposal suggests that allowing some employees to work 10 hours a day, four days a week would reduces traffic problems, air pollution and oil dependency. The state currently operates under a 1997 executive policy directive that allows agencies to implement flextime schedules with approval by the governor.
