Arkansas 8th most vulnerable state to rising gas prices
According to a study released yesterday by the Natural Resources Defense Council, Arkansans spent an average of about 6.3% of their incomes, or about $1,887 per person, on gas in 2007. Residents of only seven other states (see map below) spent more of their income on gasoline. We are also ranked 48th among the states in efforts to reduce our dependency on oil.
