Sen. Lincoln attempts to change state usury limit

This week, Sen. Blanche Lincoln is hoping to push for a vote to abrogate the section of the Arkansas constitution that limits interest rates in an attempt to help the state's student loan authority. Her change in the federal banking law would allow non-bank lenders to charge higher interest in hopes that it will help the Arkansas Student Loan Authority.
