Democratic Party of Arkansas Chairman Bill Gwatney has been shot at the Democratic Party Headquarters this morning in downtown Little Rock. I'll post info as it comes -- I'm here at the headquarters.
Update (1:00 p.m.): Suspect Tim Johnson, 50, of Searcy is confirmed dead after a shootout in Sheridan. The Arkansas Capitol was briefly placed on lockdown following the incident.
Update II (4:20 p.m.): Chairman Gwatney died as a result of injuries he sustained from these gunshot wounds. God bless him.
