3:55:08 Marathon
Put that in your corn pipe and smoke it.
Update (5:45 p.m.): Made it back to Texarkana. David Cox (pictured right of me) ran a 3:44:35. I kept up with him until mile 5 -- I knew I wouldn't be able to run with him the whole time after the first mile, which we clocked at 7:51. Miles two and three were even faster, so I let him go a few miles later. My avg pace over the 26.2 was 8:58/mile -- David's was 8:33/mile. New Orleans did a great job with the event -- the course, the crowd, and the amenities were top notch. My Arkansas shirt drew plenty of support from the crowd -- I heard "Go Hogs," "Woo Pig," and "S-E-C" from the opening gun.
