Garland, Arkansas mayor resigns, pleads guilty to theft -- UPDATE
Yvonne Dockery, the mayor of Garland City, pleaded guilty to felony theft this morning and agreed to resign her position as mayor. She was sentenced to two years probation by Miller County Circuit Judge Kirk Johnson and must pay $5,600 in restitution for money she received in excess of her salary and $3,000 to reimburse the state for the audit performed to locate the missing funds.
