Texarkana receives EDA Grant

The City received word today through Senator Lincoln's office that the Economic Development Administration has granted a $1.5 million grant application for the Garland Business Park north of Interstate 30. This is big news for our side of the state line and is the result of years of hard work by city officials and community leaders. I anticipate that the majority of funds will be used for road access to the future multi-purpose civic center. The formal announcement is expected Monday.
