Louisiana Legislature: Bills to fund I-49 to Arkansas advance

Here's today's Shreveport Times article. The total construction project from Shreveport to the Arkansas line is estimated to cost $400 million, and the Caddo Commission has made it its number one priority. The state matching funds for this specific portion of I-49 would come from the state treasurer's unclaimed property fund.

Even though it's a little dated (two years to the day), here's a good site with pictures showing the new Arkansas freeway (extends south and is open from Texarkana to five miles north of the Louisiana border). There's also a map showing the route from Shreveport.
