Code Revision Commission meets

I know this is late, but I see that Code Revision Commission met on Wednesday met to correct Act 441 of 2007, the Act revising the minimum age to marry in Arkansas.

By law, the Code Revision Commission can only make technical corrections to Acts and can't change the substance or meaning of any law. Here, the commission is striking the word "not" from the following language:

"In order for a person who is younger than 18 and who is not pregnant to obtain a marriage license, the person must provide parental consent..." and "the clerk may issue a marriage license to a person who is younger than 18 and who is not pregnant after the clerk receives evidence of parental consent."

Here's the KATV article.
