Candidates address the Republican Women of Bentonville
2008 Legislative Races:
House District 95
Duncan Baird (R-Lowell) and Linda Bisbee (R-Rogers) are running for the seat currently held by Rep. Aaron Burkes (R-Lowell). The election for this primary will be May 20, and there is no Democratic opposition. They both spoke at a meeting of the Republican Women of Bentonville yesterday and offered up their qualifications and experience.
Bisbee told the group that she is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and a strong advocate of property rights. Baird pledged, if elected, not to accept lobbyists gifts, including drinks, meals and tickets. He told the group he'd support low taxes and limited government, local enforcement of immigration laws, property rights and the defense of the unborn. He's also received the endorsement of Reps. Aaron Burkes, Jon Woods, and Dan Greenberg. Here's more from today's Benton County Daily Record.
