Note from Rep. Jeff Wood

As noted a few posts below, Jeff is part of the 39th Infantry Combat Brigade currently serving near the Iraqi border and, in a few weeks, in Baghdad itself. From the comments section below:

Department of Defense Directive Number 1344.10, Political Activities by Members of the Armed Forces, prevents me from voting since I am on orders for over 270 days. I requested a waiver to vote just on the severance tax issue that went up to the office of the Secretary of the Army. My request was denied.

I am glad to see the bill passed but I wish it would have been by 82 votes.
