Paid vs. unpaid leave

The Washington County League of Women Voters held a forum yesterday to debate family work policies in northwest Arkansas. Of course, the 1993 Family Medical Leave Act entitles employees to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave under certain circumstances. Some states, including New Jersey, California and Washington have enacted laws requiring paid family leave for certain periods of time. Here's more from today's Northwest Arkansas Times.
