The state of education in Arkansas: How much are Arkansas schools spending?
The University of Arkansas Office for Education Policy released this report that examines how school funding has changed in the wake of the landmark Lake View decision. The study is part of the office's new series of “Arkansas Education Reports”, in which they examine Arkansas-specific research questions. The analysis reports good news -- click here if you want the Cliffs Notes version.
The content of the report will be one of the topics explored at the annual OEP conference in Little Rock next Tuesday, April 22. The conference, entitled, “Adequacy Achieved . . . Now What?” will feature leading education researchers and policymakers from around the state. A highlight of the daylong session will be the luncheon keynote presentation by outgoing Senator Jim Argue, who will reflect upon his years of work on the Joint Education Committee.
