Chris Matthews: "I want to be a senator"

I saw this on Morning Joe while posting the daily calendar on the blog this morning but forgot to post this item. Chris Matthews appeared on "The Colbert Report" last night in his hometown of Philadelphia. It has been speculated that he could run in 2010 as a Democratic candidate for the senate seat currently held by Arlen Specter. Matthews didn't deny the reports but told Colbert that he's always wanted to be a senator. Here's the video -- fast forward to 5:00:
