Two circuit judgeship races in Saline County

The 22nd Judicial District (Saline) will elect two circuit judges later this month. The county is also part of the court of appeals district that will vote on the race between incumbent Wendell Griffen and challenger Rita Gruber.

In the circuit court races, Bobby McCallister and Brent Standridge are running to succeed retiring Judge Robert Garrett in Division 1. McCallister is a former Benton School Board member and has served as city court judge in Haskell and Shannon Hills.
Standridge previously served as district judge in North Little Rock and has served three times as a special associate justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court. Here's more from the Benton Courier.
