Breaking: Obama puts Biden on the ticket

Barack Obama selected Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware to be his vice presidential running mate, a Democratic official told the Associated Press a few minutes ago. A formal announcement is expected later this afternoon in Springfield, Illinois.
