The crowd is still filing in as of 6:00 MDT. I have a power outlet and ethernet cable here on the floor, which is hooked up through our state's electronic roll call system, so we're set. The intensity is racheting up here prior to the Kennedy tribute, especially during the commercial breaks/music.

The upcoming speech from Michelle Obama, I think, is critical. Although a powerful surrogate for the campaign, she's served as a lightning rod for some of those who see her as abrasive. This is her chance to make a positive impression, and I'm anxious to see not only what she says, but how she says it. She'll be introduced by her brother, and she's expected to focus on values that shape her.
