DFA economist on the Arkansas economy

John Shelnutt, Arkansas's chief economist, said yesterday that even though our economy has outperformed many other states recently, it won't take much to tip us. Job growth here is barely positive, and lending may become a problem once credit conditions move from the big banks down to regional and small ones.
