Watch parties and other Thursday events

There are watch parties being held statewide tonight. One of the bigger ones will be held at the West End on Shackleford in Little Rock (the Ballot Bowl II), where $20 will get you a view of the big screen and a buffet.

Other events include a Saline County reception for HD29 candidate Scott Smith (D-Bryant) sponsored by Governor Beebe, Sec. of State Charlie Daniels, outgoing Rep. Janet Johnson (D-Bryant) and Sen. Shane Broadway (D-Bryant).

Also, the Arkansas Literacy Council will host a welcoming reception for the Pro-Literacy Worldwide Conference this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at the Capital Hotel in Little Rock.
