Clark County wet/dry issue tossed from ballot
The Arkansas Supreme Court ruled on Friday that a circuit judge erred in allowing some signatures from voters who weren't yet registered at the time they signed a petition to put a wet/dry issue on the ballot to count. Therefore, votes for or against allowing the issuance of permits for alcohol sales in Clark County will not count on Tuesday's ballot.
Clark County is a dry county, and most if its residents looking for a drink will make the drive up to neighboring Garland County/Hot Springs. Here's a copy of the ruling (opens a .pdf in separate window).
