Kids Count Day
Child advocates from all over the state are at the Capitol today to visit with their legislators on a range of children’s issues. I was honored to give the welcome. Included in today's events are a rally on the steps for children’s health insurance with a theme of “crossing the finish line” and a footrace out on the front lawn.
Elsewhere in the Capitol, the governor is about to sign HB1031 by Rep. Fred Allen (D-Little Rock) into law, which requires health benefit plans to provide prostate cancer screening for men 40 years of age and older.
