Today in House Judiciary

We have two special orders of business beginning at 10:00, and there are a few controversial items of note that could be debated.

Update III (2:45): HB1237 passes after another 40 minutes of debate. There was no roll call, but the vote was not unanimous.

Update II (12:45): We're putting HB1237 on hold until after voting in the full House -- we'll re-convene 15 minutes after adjournment from the House Chamber to continue debate. So far, the bill has been presented by Rep. Pyle, and two people have spoken on the bill: Grant Exton (For) from the Arkansas Concealed Carry Association, and Pastor John Phillips, Jr. (Against) from Central Church of Christ.

Update: Action taken by the committee is in bold.
