Local Red River Commission Appointments

I believe I previously saw these appointments published, but I received formal word today from Governor Beebe's office that former Sen. Wayne Dowd and Charles Black have been re-appointed to the Red River Commission, with their terms to expire on January 14, 2014.

The Red River Commission's mission is to study and follow through with the navigation project to extend access to river traffic north of Shreveport/Bossier into Arkansas. It is a facsinating project that could lead to economic development if it ever gets the funds necessary ($29M?) for completion.
