2007 state races

There are some good ones shaping up. The Louisiana gubernatorial race will be held Oct. 20 (primary) and Nov. 17 (general). Other governors' races include Mississippi (Aug. 7- primary; Nov. 6- general) and Kentucky (May 22- primary; Nov. 6- general). Legislative races will be held this year in Louisiana, Virginia, Mississippi and New Jersey.

House: 63 Dem., 41 Rep., 1 Ind.
Senate: 24 Dem., 15 Rep.

Mississippi
House: 74 Dem., 47 Rep., 1 vacancy
Senate: 27 Rep., 25 Dem.

Virginia
House: 57 Rep., 40 Dem., 3 Ind.
Senate: 23 Rep., 17 Dem.

New Jersey
House: 49 Dem., 31 Rep.
Senate: 22 Dem., 18 Rep.
