Hooters in Arkansas

John Brummett takes up the issue this morning of whether Hooters can co-exist in Fort Smith, the capital of conservatism in the river valley. He mentions the other two locations of the restaurant chain in Arkansas but doesn't mention that a Hooters also opened on State Line Avenue on Thursday, just a few feet away. By all indications, the Texarkana location opened as if it were any other restaurant -- chamber ribbon cutting, coverage in the Texarkana Gazette, etc.
