Local defense funds contained in federal spending bill draft

The initial draft of the 2008 Department of Defense Appropriations Act contains as much as $353 million in funding for Red River Army Depot and Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant projects. The bulk of the funds would go towards the procurement of M55 and M59 detonators. Here's a link to H.R. 3222, and here's the Texarkana Gazette article.
