Tribute to Phillip
I've been debating on whether to post this, but the blog is designed to share my thoughts, and I otherwise feel compelled to write. A good friend of mine, Phillip McDougal (center in photo), was killed by a car late yesterday afternoon while riding his bike. He stopped by to visit just a couple of weeks ago to talk about what kind of high performance bike to purchase. I won't even enumerate all the hardships the McDougal family has had to endure (and continues to endure), but this is truly a tragedy. Phillip's word was as good as gold. He was self-employed with The McDougal Group, a general contracting company in Texarkana, and was responsible for renovating our office building here. He leaves behind a wife of 12 years and a five year old daughter. Phillip was 35 years old.
Here's the Texarkana Gazette article.
