Ozark unit returns from Iraq
The 150 Soldiers of Battery C, 2nd Battalion, 142nd Fires Brigade of Ozark returned to Fort Sill, Okla. on Wednesday, completing a 17-month mobilization in which they served 12-months in Iraq performing security missions.
The Soldiers will spend the next week at Fort Sill completing paperwork and redeployment physical assessments before coming home to Ozark early next week. With this unit's return the Arkansas National Guard has approximately 200 Soldiers still deployed, and 3,000 Soldiers preparing for deployment to Iraq in the next few months.
