Lottery announcement -- Update

A media advisory says that a major announcement will take place on the steps of the Capitol at 10:30 tomorrow regarding the proposed Scholarship Lottery Amendment. The signatures (plus a comfortable cushion) must be ready.

Update (Tuesday): Pulaski Tech student Kendra Bean, 19, of Little Rock signed on as the symbolic 77, 468th signature needed to qualify Lt Governor Halter’s scholarship lottery for the November ballot. The deadline for filing signatures is July 7th, and they'll continue gathering signatures until a total of 100,000 have been collected as a safety net.
