Arkansas job losses announced

About 200 workers in Sharper Image distribution and returns centers in central Arkansas will lose their jobs as the specialty retailer closes its stores throughout the country. Another 80 positions at Hallmark's Day Spring Cards plant in Siloam Springs will be phased out in September and October. This is also part of a national movement for Hallmark as it consolidates its greeting card manufacturing.

However, expect an announcement from the governor's office tomorrow that will include the addition of 250 jobs in Russellville.
