New Chancellor at UACCH: Chris Thomason

Former state representative and current prosecutor for the 8th Judicial District North Chris Thomason has been named the new chancellor at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope this morning -- he'll replace Dr. Chuck Welch, who was recently named president of Henderson State. Thomason will begin his new position on August 1.

The new prosecutor is the talk now. I believe there'll be an interim appointment until an election can be held (and the interim can't succeed himself/herself).
