Governor names State Police Commissioner

Governor Beebe has named Wallace Fowler of Jonesboro to the Arkansas State Police Commission. Fowler, 73, is Chairman and C.E.O. of Liberty Bank of Arkansas and Chairman of Fowler Foods, both in Jonesboro. He previously served on the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission (now the AEDC) in the 1980s. A longtime Jonesboro resident, Fowler and his wife Jama are involved in numerous charity and nonprofit organizations in Northeast Arkansas. He replaces Warren Dupwe, also of Jonesboro.
