Senate version of competing Drug Court bills up for vote this morning

The House Judiciary committee will vote on SB18 by Sen. Bill Pritchard this morning at 10:00 a.m. The committee (as well as the full House) has already passed HB2553, which has the support of several circuit judges, including Judge Joe Griffin, one of my own.

I should be there for the vote but also have to be in House Education to present two bills (HB1825 and HB2066), House Public Health to present HB2291, and Senate City County and Local Affairs to present HB1531.

Update: SB18 failed by a roll call vote.
