More legislative candidates
A couple of more candidates have announced their intentions to seek open House seats in 2008. Click here for a list of all known candidates for House races in 2008.
District 21: (Sevier, pt. Howard)
Frank Scott will join Steve Cole in the Democratic primary in House District 21. Scott is currently the director of the De Queen-Mena Education Co-op located in Gillham, Ark. One thing that will significantly increase turnout in this race is the local 2008 Senate race to replace term-limited Senator Jim Hill (so far, it's Scott Sullivan and Larry Teague in that primary).
District 15: (Pt. Lonoke, pt. Pulaski)
Walls McCrary of Lonoke is seeking the District 15 seat as a Democrat to replace Rep. Lenville Evans, who is term-limited. McCrary currently serves as the Treasurer of the City of Lonoke. No other candidates have announced for this seat.
