Here's a new feature for the blog designed to allow you to have input in issues that are likely to be raised in state government. Of course, these polls aren't scientific, and I won't treat them as such, but they are a way for you speak directly to me and other legislators who read this blog on issues we're likely to be debating in the near future.

A few states currently in session are debating whether to ban flavored-cigarettes on the basis that the product is marketed towards today's youth. This category of cigarettes once included colorful names such as "Twista Lime" and "Kauai Kolada," but now features more subtle "Signature Mellow" with toasted honey and "Signature Robust" with cocoa and espresso flavor.

R.J. Reynolds said its marketing of flavored cigarettes won't use the following words: chocolate, sweet, cocoa, creamy, fruity, citrus, tart, tangy, vodka, rum, bourbon, and margarita. So what do you think? Should the state involve itself in this?
