BCS Selection Sunday
Tonight's BCS Selection Show will be prime entertainment. With losses by Mizzou and West Virginia last night, the results of today's BCS formula to pit #1 and #2 in the January 7 Championship Game isn't likely to please many. The show will be broadcast by Fox at 7:00 p.m. tonight.
It would be shocking if 11-1 Ohio State is not among the top two. The other team? Your guess is as good as mine. The contenders appear to be LSU (11-2), Georgia (10-2), USC (10-2), Kansas (11-1), Virginia Tech (11-2), and Oklahoma (11-2). Undefeated Hawaii has no chance. Regardless of who it is, there'll be an uproar to revise the system. You can still keep the bowl games and have a four or eight team playoff, and it won't diminish the importance of the regular season games. Also tonight, we'll find out the Hogs' bowl destination as well. The Democrat-Gazette reports that it will be the Cotton Bowl.
