4113 Ingomar, N.W.
I ran out at dawn here in Washington yesterday in search of some family history. The house above is where my mom lived during the time that my grandfather served in Congress (1949-1953). This was at a time when it was far more politically acceptable to just move your family here. My mom was just four at the time of the move, so one of her only real memories of living here is of conducting air raid drills in kindergarten.
As you can tell by the address, this is in the far northwest corner of the District (streets are named alphabetically by syllables as you move out from the Capitol, so Ingomar is in the "third" alphabet and is between Huntington and Jenifer). We're meeting with the Arkansas congressional delegation this morning, and I'll be away from the blog until noon or so.
