On tap today
As part of today's legislative leadership conference at the Capitol here in Washington, Robbie Wills and I will join former state legislators turned members of Congress for a discussion of the relationship between state legislatures and Congress (and how to make it more effective). Presiders include Congressmen Mike Castle (R-Delaware) and Jim Costa (D-California). Depending on the voting schedule, we may be joined by other members of the congressional leadership. Tomorrow will include a presentation by John Harwood, Chief Washington Correspondent for CNBC, and conversations with former Speaker Newt Gingrich, Penn Professor Kathleen Hall Jamieson, and Lee Hamilton, Vice Chair of the 911 Commission, co-chair of the Iraq Study Group and director of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. To the extent possible, I'll be live blogging a couple of these events.
