Governor wants to tie higher ed graduation rates to state funding

This issue was unsuccessfully raised in the recent session in large part due to university presidents. Now some presidents and officials say they might be receptive to the idea. Laura Kellams has the story in today's Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Take a look at p. 38 in the UofA's lastest 2010 Commission report to see where it ranks among 54 public research universities in six-year graduation rates. The university has listed graduation and retention rates among its top priorities.
